New Pictures!

Today I decided to take some pictures of the kids at a park in Newton since it was such a nice day! The kids weren't too excited to do this with me, but they did a good job. Aunt Nancy came along and got some great pictures too! Thanks for your help Nancy! Here are some pictures that I have captured!

pLaYiNg In ThE rAiN

After playing all day outside, I let the kids get their umbrella's out and play outside in the rain with them! They were pretty excited to use them since we haven't really played in the rain before! Here are some pictures of them having fun with their umbrella's!

Planting has begun!

Can you believe that it is that time of year already? The farmers are all busy in the fields and are getting a lot done with great weather that we are having. Elden got started planting corn on monday so yesterday we went to visit him in the fields and bring him some dinner. The kids were excited to ride in the tractor with Daddy and needless to say, all four of us in the tractor is quite crowded! Elden got done with NH3 a few weeks ago b/f we got the rain, so they were thankful to be done. As Elden stays busy in the fields I like to keep busy working in my garden. All this warm weather means that the weeds are popping up like crazy! So far I have some Tulips and hyacinths blooming this week. It's always great to see the green grass and the blooming flowers after our long winter! As Elden puts in many long hours, I just pray for safety for him and all the farmers during this busy season! Enjoy the beautiful weather that our Lord has made!

Today at preschool, was show and tell day! Mitchell thought it would be neat to have Daddy bring his John Deere tractor for his show and tell! We didn't know if it would work out or not so when Daddy showed up with the tractor, let's just say Mitchell was a little excited! Mitchell couldn't wait to show his class Daddy's tractor and talk about all the things that it does. Daddy even got to bring all the kids on a tractor ride around the parking lot! What a FUN Day! Thanks Daddy and Talsma's for letting us see the big John Deere!

Easter Pictures

On Easter Sunday it was so nice outside I wanted to take some pictures of the boys with their Easter outfits on. I got some decent ones I wanted to share. The kids were less than thrilled to take pictures but they cooperated. We hope you had a great Easter celebrating the Risen Lord!

Yesterday was so wonderful outside that we spent all afternoon out there! We got a little sun burnt but we had a great time. We played with so many things! We used the chalk to trace ourselves on the drive way, rode our four wheelers, played in the sand box and went on a Easter egg hunt! I put some letters in the eggs for Mitchell so he could try to spell "Easter". He was pretty excited to get the letters since he's been into spelling words lately. Here are some pics of our fun day!

Since it has finally dried enough to get in the fields, Elden started getting busy in the fields this week with pulling smoke. He has enjoyed the nice weather too and is getting a good start with the field work. Hopefully he'll get a lot done b/f it rains this weekend. We hope everyone has a wonderful and blessed Easter!
