Reimen Gardens

Last week Friday, we went to Reiman Gardens with some friends of ours from school. The kids had a BLAST! Mitchell is obsessed with Lego's so this was right up his alley! They had 26 exhibits made out of legos and had a guide that told how many lego's were needed to build each exhibit. The kids really liked the butterfly's and the hummingbirds. It was amazing to see the exhibits and to think how much time it took to build each one. After we got done, we went to Hickory Park for lunch! What perfect weather for a fun outing!

Grandpa's Birthday Party

A few weeks ago, we celebrated my grandpa DV's 85th Birthday! We had almost all the grandkids there and of course the great grandkids. We enjoyed smoked meat for dinner and lots of sides! For dessert, we had a cake (of course). Grandpa enjoyed visiting with family and friends and we were blessed with some rain that fell right at dinner. The kids had a blast playing in the pool and the adults enjoyed catching up with family. Grandpa has been such a great example in the way he lives his life and the great faith that he has. We hope Grandpa and Grandma were blessed by the party and that he has many more birthdays to come!

Father's Day

We had a wonderful Father's day again this year. Although I was sad because it was my first Father's day with out my dad, I am very thankful for a wonderful husband who made the day easier for me with lots of laughs. I am also thankful for such a great dad that he is to our boys! Mitchell wanted to make him a t-shirt  that said "tractor riding" on the front (with a big tractor on it) and "tractor driving" on the back. The idea was to have Elden put the shirt on and the kids to "drive" their tractors on his back to give him a back rub with the tractor wheels. Mitchell was pretty proud of his shirt he made and Connor made him a special card too. They both did a great job! We hope all the dad's out there had a great Father's Day!

quick trip

Elden has had a very busy last few months, and the last month he has been busy spraying. He was so sick of spraying, he was so ready for a break so he suggested going to the Ozarks. I was of course, ready for a road trip so we packed up on Friday night and headed out early Saturday morning. It was nice going just the four of us, since we haven't got to spend much time together in the past few months. We spent the day out on the lake and had the opportunity to stay at my aunt and uncles condo for the night. We took another ride on the boat in the morning before we left on Sunday afternoon. We feel very blessed to be able to go there and enjoy our precious boys and time as a family.

buddies

I just truely enjoy watching my boys being best friends. They do everything together;  ride bike, play with lego's, slip n' slide, and even sleep in the same bed together. When ever one of them is not there, the other one is thinking of them. When we go to the grocery store, Connor always has to get Mitchell a carton of chocolate milk and when ever Mitchell gets a sticker from someone, he always has to get one for Connor. I hope and pray that they will stay close for years to come! I am thankful for the friendship they share and the closeness we have as a family. Praise God!

Little League

Mitchell had his first little league game last week! He had a great time learning how to play through practice. He's improved alot, and is enjoying learning. He did get distracted a few times making "roads" in the dirt with his back facing the batter :) He won his first game, so he was pretty excited! Here's a few pics of his game!
