Step by Step He Leads Me!

Mitchell has been learning some new songs in Sunday school and one of his favorite songs is "Step by Step". I often find him singing this song during the day and am so thankful that he's singing christian songs. It makes me proud and more motivated to teach him in the way of the Lord! Here's a video of him singing his favorite song!

Surgery

Last week I ended up having my gall bladder removed due to chronic pain that I've been having off and on in the past couple of years. On Super Bowl Sunday, I had another attack and decided I had had enough. So I decided to get it out. It was quite an ordeal and today was the first time I could say I was feeling well enough to do anything. I am glad it was a nice day to enjoy. The doctors made surgery sound as if it would be a walk through the park, but on Friday I got sick all day and Saturday I was just plain miserable. Thank goodness the pain level has gone down and I am glad I have family near by to help with the kids. So that is the reason why I haven't updated my blog for a while :)

Another round of winter !(

After the warm day that we had this week, it sure made me in the mood for spring time! I just can't wait for all my flowers to come up. I remember last year, how excited I was to see my first signs of spring! I thought maybe we were done with all the snow finally since it melted, but God had another plan. I was both excited for the new snow today and sad that winter is not over with yet. Oh well, Mitchell sure loved it. Once he knew that it was going to snow, he wanted to call daddy right away and tell him to get the tractor ready to start blading snow. This afternoon, he went out and scooped all of the side walks and decks off for us. Tonight he and daddy got to scrape the drive ways off with the tractor. They were having so much fun they decided to drive the tractor all the way to town to Aunt Nancy's house to scoop her driveway. Mitchell was so cold by the time he got to Nancy's house, that he thought he'd better stay over night instead of ride back with daddy. So he had a great day with scooping snow in the afternoon and getting to staying overnight at Aunt Nancy's at night !)

Fun With Our Friends!

Connor and Annekke are discussing what to play with next!

Having Fun!

Mitchell and Valarie raking snow!

Valarie and Annekke

Our pastor and his wife went to San Diego for a church conference this week and so I volunteered to watch their children. This was the first time they left their kids, so it was hard for Carrie to leave them. But the kids are doing great and are playing very nicely together. Yesterday we went to our mom's for the day, so that was fun for Valarie and Annekke. Today we went outside to play in the warm weather and snow. We even got some swinging in! We had a great time scooping the snow and playing in the mud. Needless to say, they were quite muddy when they came in! All their clothes went straight into the washing machine! I was just glad to get them outside for some fresh air! I am suppose to watch them till Thursday morning (I got them on Sunday night) so I am sure the time will go fast. It's always great to have playmates the same ages! Enjoy the Beautiful Day!

Winter Fun!

Connor having fun in the snow!

Mitchell's on the sled for just a minute, enough to take the picture!

Mitchell's busy scooping snow!

Connor's busy mowing snow!

Today, the tempature wasn't too bad, so we thought we'd venture outdoors for a little fresh air. We all have colds, but I thought fresh air always does us good and let's us get away from all the germs in the house. My goal was to try to go sledding for a little bit, but Connor wasn't one bit interested in that. He was too busy mowing snow. I finally talked Mitchell to get on the sled, but that didn't last very long. We just got up the hill half way and then he wanted off. Mitchell was to busy scooping snow. Maybe I"ll try it again when Daddy is around to help motivate the kids and get on the four wheeler out to take a ride on the sled.

Play Dough Fun!

On cold winter days, we try to find fun things to do. We decided to get some new fresh playdough at Walmart that day and play for a while. Mitchell and Connor loved making new things. Connor is finally at the point of not eating the playdough, so that's nice. It gave us something fun to do on a cold day!
