My Garden

My beautiful roses!
My completed project!

Elden helping me out!

Our big pile of mulch!

I was so excited because my mulch finally came after weeks of waiting. As you can see it was quite a pile of mulch! I still have a lot left that I have to put below our back deck. My wonderful husband was great and put the mulch in piles around my garden and I spread the mulch out through out the garden. He was such a great help! I was so excited to get my garden looking great again!
Last night, I got home from going to my sister's house and Elden surprised me with a dozen roses! I was so surprised and excited. He definitely got a lot of brownie points this week !)

Brotherly Love

Mitchell and Connor have a typical sibling relationship. It's a love-hate relationship. It seems that one minute they can be so loving to each other as seen in the pictures above and the next minute they are hitting the snot out of each other. Connor has started to bite now, which doesn't make Mitchell very happy. Often after Connor has tackelled Mitchell to the ground, Mitchell says to me that he doesn't like Connor anymore and wants him to go away. It's pretty sad when our two-year old can beat up his four-year old big brother! Atleast I got a picture of them being nice to each other!

Riding his bike!

Mitchell is showing us his new bike!
Mitchell told me on Monday that he wanted to take off his training wheels from his bike and put it on Connor's bike! So I jumped on the chance and switched training wheels in hopes that Mitchell would try to go without training wheels! We started off on the grass in case he fell down, but he actually took off like he's been riding his bike all his life. By the end of the week, Mitchell didn't need my help at all getting started! He told me that when he was five he wouldn't need me at all! That's not something that mom's want to hear already! We were so proud of him for learning so fast! He had to bring his bike to both Nana and Papa's houses to show them how he could ride his bike! Great Job Mitchell! After he rode for the first time, he wanted me to put it on the blog so everyone could see his video!

Tulip Time

On Saturday, we went to Tulip Time with Aunt Angie and Nancy and Nana Van Zee. We went through the west market craft area first and then we sat down and watched the parade. Mitchell must have been extra hungry that day! He had a jelly sandwich, corndog, funnel cake, hot dog, and and ice cream cone throughout the day! It must have been all that walking! We had a great time and it was another nice day!

Spring Planting

Elden finished up with most of the corn last week and has switched to beans. Elden always enjoys planting beans because it is alot more relaxing. Last week was kind of slow because of the rain on and off so it was hard for them to find dry dirt. Hopefully this week will be better and they will get alot done!

Fun with our cousins!

Connor having fun in the playhouse!
Almost everyone got to swing! Their favorite thing!

This is the best picture of all of the cousins!

This is the best one of them. Connor wasn't impressed!

Mitchell swinging on the monkey bars!

Last week Friday we met my sisters and mom at the park and tried to take a group picture of all of the cousins to give to our mom for Mother's Day. It was quite a job trying to get everyone to say cheese. We didn't get a real great one, but this might be as good as it gets. After we went to the park we all went to Tulip Time together! It was a fun and beautiful day!

CAT shirts! It wasn't very sucessful!
Connor blowing bubbles!

Mitchell and his weed Eater!

Connor is into riding his trike lately!

Here are a few pictures of us all playing outside today on this beautiful day today! We are enjoying this great weather! What a blessing! I hope you have gotten a chance to enjoy it too!

Mitchell's Swinging!

Mitchell has finally learned how to swing all by himself! I am so glad I don't have to push him anymore, especially since he always told me that he wasn't going to swing until he turned five years old. So we are ahead of schedule! Yeah!! We are proud of him for doing this by himself and Mitchell couldn't wait for me to put him on the blog so everyone could see him swing! He's pretty proud of himself too!
