As part of motivation for reading for the boys, they earned their way for a trip to the Living History Farms! We have been reading "Little House" books this past winter so I thought it would be fun to actually see what it was like in the olden days! The kids really enjoyed reading the information displays along the paths and seeing first hand how people lived back then! I got alittle camera happy as you can see. I am glad that Connie, Nancy and Angie could go with us to make the day more special!

Ozarks 2013
This year we headed back to the Ozarks again with our family! The kids always enjoy spending time there and enjoying the water! This year we celebrated Mitchell's 9th birthday alittle early with presents and cake! The boys tried something new this year! Skiing for the first time! The boys both did great! I couldn't believe they both got up! We were so proud of them! Here's a few pictures of our fun week together!
4th of July party
We had our annual 4th of July party again this year. I couldn't get my computer to load the picture, but we had a big 10 foot tarp laid out for the kids to go on their mega slip n slide! However because our yard is so rocky and bumpy, the kids didn't last very long! We grilled for supper and then did fireworks and sparklers after! It was a fun night!

4th of July
We had a fun 4th of July! Elden rode in the parade again with Mitchell this year. Mitchell always enjoys it! The best part was when Elden had to toe another tractor through the parade. Mitchell was all over that! In the afternoon, we went to Nanna Olson's house and had a pool party! We got some sprinklers out to play with as well! Then we went to Sully's fireworks at night! What a fun day!
big machines
The boys have enjoyed watching Elden work on our yard with some big machines! I'm so thankful that he knows how to operate them so well and that we have the access to them. Elden put in tile in a few spots in our yard, did landscaping upfront, and did some dirt work as well. We have been busy this summer getting all our yard projects done! Great job Elden!
Baseball fun!
