Time for a Snack

Mitchell and Connor love to get into the bars that I usually have on hand. Before I knew it Mitchell had helped himself to a bar and gave Connor one as well. They both were amazingly sitting on the chair (without running around the house) and were eating their bar w/o making too much of a mess. I thought I'd better hurry and get a picture before they get up!

Take me out to the Ball Game!

Mitchell got a new T ball stand for his birthday so we thought we'd try it out! Mitchell and Connor both have a bat so they each have fun trying to hit the ball. Connor barely hits it off of the T, while Mitchell loves to see how far he can hit and run "the bases"! We had a great time playing baseball!

Look Who's 4!!

Mitchell had his 4th birthday party last night!! We had a great time with our Thomas the Tank Engine Cake! It took me along time to make the cake but I finally got it made. Mitchell had his cousins over along with Aunts and Uncles and Nanna's and Pappa's! Mitchell got alot of nice gifts! But he mostly enjoyed playing with his cousins and having "Happy Birthday" sung to him! We are thankful for a healthy and happy little boy!

Vacation Fun!

This year we went to the Ozarks again for a family vacation! We enjoyed spending time with the Van Zee's at a resort. Mitchell was especially excited to go since he is understanding more what it means to go on vacation. He was looking forward to opening his presents and having a birthday party. So the first evening that we got there we got a cake and had his party. He got lots of nice things, his favorite was his scooter and his Kinze wagon. We also had lots of fun on the boat. Mitchell finally got on the tube and went for a small ride untill some big waves came and both Elden and him flew off. I don't think he'll try that again for a long time! But it was still fun! Connor didn't appreciate the boating yet. He was content to stay in the boat and watch people or throw us the ball. When we asked him if he wanted to go boating, he said "Nooooo" with a sad look on his face. But he went anyway and was a pretty good sport about it. We spent alot of time on the boat and in the water since we had beautiful weather. Of course the boys would have rather stayed in the cabin and played with their tractors the entire time, but before we knew it our week on vacation was over. We are looking forward to next year when Connor can enjoy it more and more memories can be made.

On Monday's we always go to Papa and Nana Olson's house for the day! We always have a good time and even at times it can be kind of loud, the cousins always enjoy playing together. In the summer time is special because we get to play in the pool. Papa and Nana spend alot of time and money on keeping the pool up which we appreciate! The boys always have lots of fun swimming around and have really started to enjoy being in the pool! Connor is not to excited yet about the pool, but Mitchell sure enjoys it! I'm glad I had Mitchell take swimming lessons last winter. Great Grandma De Vries came out to watch them swim so we thought it would be fun to take a picture with her and Mason. Mitchell and Mason are quite the little fishies!

Park Fun!

Last week Thursday we went to the park in Pella with Aunt Sharesa and cousins Caleb and Adelynn. We had a great time! We first got to go to lunch with them and then we got to go to the park! We had lots of fun swinging and going on the slide. Here are some pics to share!
