Brothers

The past couple of nights it had been storming and Connor has decided that he is scared of the thunder and lightning. Needless to say, it was a long night the past couple of nights trying to help Connor out. Last night though, it was NOT thundering at all but Connor was still scared of going to bed. I told him that he needed to stayin in bed, but he was still crying. So Mitchell, the negotiator, told me that I should let Connor sleep in our bed just for a little bit. After I told Mitchell that Connor is fine in his own bed, Mitchell told Connor he could sleep in his bed. He asked us if that was OK, and Elden and I were so tired from the previous nights, that we didn't care. So Mitchell led Connor by the hand to his room and Connor slept with Mitchell. Elden and I snook over to Mitchell's room and within minutes they were both fast asleep. It was so cute, I had to take a picture!

PeLlA pOoL FuN!

Every year we get to go to the Pella pool once a summer! We had a busy day that day, first we went for lunch and then took Mitchell's 5 year pictures and then we got to go to the pool! We went with my sister-ini-law Nancy, my sister Sharesa and her kids and Shari and Mason! We had a great time playing together! Here is a video of Mitchell jumping off of the diving board!

Some of our favorite things to do there was going doing the lazy river, going down the slides and jumping in the water. Connor and Addy had a blast with the water spraying in the faces! Connor also enjoyed jumping in the water and Mitchell's favorite things were jumping off the diving board and going down the lazy river! Mitchell and Nancy went all the way to the top of the big slides but couldn't go on because he was two inches to short! Bummer for Mitchell! Hopefully next year he can go on the big slides! What a fun day!

Mitchell's 5th Birthday Party with our family

This past Saturday night we had Mitchell's birthday party at our house! It was great to have everyone there! This year Mitchell decided he wanted a farm cake with a field, so I looked up some ideas online and found a couple of pictures to go by. I decorated it on Saturday morning in record time of 45 minutes! That was the fastest I have ever made a birthday cake; it sure beat last year when it took me 6 hours to make :) The party started with opening lots of presents, and then singing "Happy birthday" and finally eating some yummy cake. The kids were more excited to play with the toys than eat the cake. Thanks to everyone who came and made Mitchell's birthday special! We love you Mitchell!

I can't believe that my old turns 5 years old! Today was a special day because we had some of Mitchell's friends from church over for a party! We had fun playing in the pool, throwing water at each other (untill I got soaked twice), eating ice cream cone cupcakes and playing with our train! The kids even sang "Happy Birthday" to him! Thanks to all of his friends for coming to our party and making his birthday special! We are very thankful for a happy and healthy little boy to have in our family an we are very proud of him and love to watch him discover new things! We love you Mitchell!
