Today was such a beautiful day today! We got outside and got some fresh air which was very much needed since everyone but me had the flu in the past week! I love to look in my garden to see what's coming up and to see all the new green plants sprouting. The kids also love to play in their sandbox and swing. The boys got out their four wheelers for the first time today and rode around for a while. They had a great time going over our drive way bump into the grass. I got some pictures of them playing and also a video of them riding the four wheelers! Enjoy!

Every Wednesday we have the opportunity to go to Papa and Nana's house for the day. Even though lunch is very loud at times and kind of crazy, we always have a good time together! Some of the favorite things that the kids like to do are make snowmen and go on the mule with Papa. These pictures were taken a few weeks ago when the snow all started to melt. Papa has a great imagination and talent to create unique a "snow bear". The kids usually end the day with a mule ride and of course, a gumball to eat on the way home!

Today we got to go to Kids Fest in Des Moines. We went with Elden's sisters and mom this year. The kids really enjoy going to this and all the proceeds go to a good cause. They have several inflatable activities for the kids to do like a bounce house, slide and optical course. They also had games to play with, tattoos, and even a tractor pull! Mitchell got to do the tractor pull for the first time this year and got third place! We were so excited for him and he was just beaming telling me that "he was a champion"! Way to go Mitchell! What a fun day that we had and hope that next year we can do it again!

It was such a nice day yesterday, Elden and Mitchell decided to go and build a snow fort together in the yard in the afternoon. Mitchell has wanted one for a while now especially since he got to see his friend Logan's fort that he had in his yard. So Elden got the tractor out and made some walls and then made a tunnel, a door and even some chairs to sit on inside the fort. Mitchell was so excited and said that it was the best snow fort ever! Since the weather is suppose to be rather nice for once, I'm sure Mitchell and Connor will spend a lot of time in the fort this week! Thank you Daddy for making such an awesome snow fort!

Mitchell and Connor are truly best friends and are two peas from the same pod. They just enjoy playing with each other so much on a daily basis and miss each other when the other one is not around. Here are a few pictures of them having fun together as brothers.
